Breitling pulls out all the stops for its new boutique on Madison Avenue

Luxury watch brand Breitling celebrated the reopening of its Madison Avenue boutique in New York with a celebrity panel.

 

Breitling opened its first flagship store in the world in New York City in 2011 and moved to 575 Madison Avenue in 2016. For this late 2021, the completely redesigned space now spans two levels. The 27-meter-long storefront looks directly out onto the street, and the latest Breitling products are on display in a 400-square-foot space. This location also happens to be the world’s first branch of Breitling Equipment, the brand’s new collection of travel and lifestyle accessories.

 

Members of the Breitling Spotlight Squad, actress and producer Charlize Theron and ballet dancer Misty Copeland, among others, co-hosted the event with Breitling CEO Georges Kern, adding a prestigious touch to the store‘s reopening.

Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, said, “Forget all your notions of what a watch showroom looks like. With this store redesign, we’ve created a relaxed, stimulating and inclusive environment that you’ll feel the moment you walk through the door. By redefining the entire retail experience, we are realizing our vision of being the undisputed leader in neo-luxury.”

 

The store’s redesign is inspired by the industrial loft aesthetic that already characterizes Breitling’s major retail outlets around the world. The brand’s three “worlds” of air, sea and land are reflected in the décor, with elements inspired by airplanes, surfboards and vintage motorcycles. Watch bars and relaxation areas invite visitors to discover the timepieces in a luxurious spirit.

 

Thierry Prissert, president of Breitling USA, added, “The new aesthetic and inviting design will be the ultimate destination for all Manhattan watch lovers and visitors from around the world. We look forward to the new boutique becoming a relaxing and inclusive environment to welcome our local customers, as well as new customers who appreciate watches with tasteful yet affordable luxury styling.
