Bogart to close April stores

Bogart, a French group that currently owns 9 perfume and cosmetics brands, gave an update this morning on the activity of its stores. He announced his forecasts for the year 2023 which is starting and 2022 which is just ending.

The company specializes in the creation, manufacture and marketing of perfumes and cosmetics and holds licenses for brands such as Jacques Bogart, Carven and April.

In fiscal year 2022, Bogart has seen a decline in activity and profitability of its store network in France. This is closely linked to an internal factor, with the integration of new Nocibé stores, but above all to the current economic context: inflation, low purchasing power and war in Ukraine. All of the company’s stores have been strongly affected by the rise in energy costs.

This situation will obviously have an impact on Bogart’s 2022 results. Nevertheless, the group confirms the prospect of an increase in its annual sales in 2022. But it will not reach its EBITDA target, without this calling into question the group’s fundamentals, according to the group’s press release issued this morning.
