Aura Blockchain Consortium appoints new CEO

The organization co-founded in 2021 by LVMH, OTB Group, Prada Group, and Cartier has recruited Marcel Härtlein as its new CEO and Secretary General.

 

Aura Blockchain Consortium has a new leader. On January 8, Marcel Härtlein, formerly of Lalique Group, took over the reins, succeeding Romain Carrere, who served from October 2023 to August 2025.

 

Aura Blockchain Consortium, a non-profit organization based in Switzerland, was co-founded in 2021 by LVMH, OTB Group, Prada Group, and Cartier. Its mission is to promote socially responsible, sustainable, and customer-centric business practices throughout the product lifecycle in the luxury sector by leveraging blockchain and other technologies.

 

Former executive at Lalique Group

 

Since October 2024, Marcel Härtlein has held the position of Head of Digital and IT (editor’s note) at the Lalique Group, the luxury crystal manufacturer and itself a member of the Aura Blockchain Consortium.
