Alia Bhatt: Gucci’s first Indian muse

After the conquest of Indian cinema, it’s time for fashion! Alia Bhatt, famous Bollywood actress, has just been named Gucci’s new face. She will make her first appearance as an ambassador tonight in Seoul, during the 2024 Gucci Cruise Parade.

 

It must be said that the Italian fashion house has a penchant for the big screen. Most of its faces are actresses. They include Squid Game star Lee Jung-jae, Mina Shin and Dakota Johnson. But there are also music stars like rapper Asap Rocky or Hanni, singer of K-pop NewJeans.

 

This is the first time Gucci has selected an Indian face to represent the brand.

 

The announcement was made by the Italian House on social media a few days ago, with the publication of an Instagram post showing, on a solid background, the actress, slightly smiling in a corner, in an oversize Gucci costume.

If Alia Bhatt was chosen to represent the image of Gucci, it is not by chance. His convictions are in line with the brand’s values and vision of an inclusive, open and diverse community.

 

This marks a new turning point in the actress’s career, which is among the most popular in Indian cinema.

This new announcement is not surprising, given Alia Bhatt’s sense of trendy fashion, as well as her various collaborations with luxury brands. But that’s not all: in recent years, she has her own brand of maternity clothes, called Ed- a-Mamma.

This new contract could make her an international star. A few weeks ago, she made her debut at the most popular event of the year of all stars: the Met Gala, dazzling everyone with a creation by Prabal Gurung.

 

 

Soon, she will appear alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the series “Heart of Stone” on Netflix, marking her debut in Hollywood.

 

Cinema, fashion and muse, decidedly, everything succeeds in Alia Bhatt. And it’s not over. His appointment as Gucci’s new face is a sign of his growing influence. For the brand, it is also a sign of recognition of the potential of the Indian market and its commitment to expand its reach in the country.
