The British luxury carmaker presents a new version of its Bentayga Odyssean crossover, more ecological and re-styled.
Already adopted by the British, this model, released in 2016 and revised in 2020, changes again and becomes more environmentally friendly. For the brand, the need to stand out is omnipresent in the competitive automotive market.
With this special version of the Bentayga Odyssean Edition, Bentley plays the aesthetic card. The first change is that the brand’s logo appears on the rear roof bars.
But it also relies on sustainable development. Its engine is a three-liter V6 gasoline engine, coupled with an electric motor: this hybrid model can accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 254 km/h. In electric mode alone, this new version can travel up to 45 km. A small step for man, a big step for mankind, as Armstrong would have said.
Bentley is known for combining luxury and comfort by using expensive finishing materials and impeccable build quality. The most important part of its new Bentayga Odyssean is inside, via the use of eco-friendly materials. The main upholstery is covered with sustainably sourced leather in Autumn and Linen. The seat backs are made of tweed fabric, which is made from domestically processed wool. Finally, the acacia wood dashboard is covered with thin layers of lacquer, only 0.1 mm thick, which is 90 percent less than the high-gloss versions.
This sedan, whose purchase price starts at 195,000 euros, will only be produced in 70 units. So you’ll have to be quick and well-informed if you want to buy one. It is now available to order. But the first commercial examples will be manufactured and delivered to customers by early next year.
