Hilton is stepping up its pace with a series of openings across several continents, all scheduled for this spring.
Hilton’s schedule is likely to be packed, as the hotel group has no fewer than 25 openings planned over the next three months ! From the Mediterranean basin to Southeast Asia, the group is focusing primarily on destinations with strong tourist or economic appeal in order to establish a presence in iconic locations and growing markets.
Greece, a symbol of Hilton’s rise in Europe
Hilton appears to have placed its biggest bet on one destination in particular : Greece. Initially, Hilton expanded from a single hotel to more than fifty properties in just five years, with about twenty additional projects currently in development.
At the heart of this strategy, Athens is home to several major projects, such as the future Conrad Athens The Ilisian. Scheduled to open in a few weeks, this new hotel will be located in the capital’s historic former Hilton and will feature 307 rooms and suites with views of the Acropolis or the sea, a wellness area spanning over 2,000 m², indoor and outdoor pools, and an extensive dining selection with nine bars and restaurants.
