The art book publisher Assouline reaffirms its commitment to new multimedia formats and is launching, with great fanfare, the second season of its Culture Lounge podcast. A series that introduces listeners to the voices shaping the way we live, travel, create, and collect.
What if this were the new luxury?
Connecting with the people who shape the way we live, travel, create, and discover the world today.
That is precisely the aim of Culture Lounge, the podcast from Assouline, the French publishing house founded in 1994 in Paris, whose “classic” episodes are now entering their second season on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Darren Star, Emmy Award-winning TV series creator (Sex and the City, Emily in Paris, Younger), interior designer Miles Redd, Town & Country editor-in-chief Stellene Volandes, and Michelin-starred restaurateur Simon Kim are among the prestigious lineup of guests.
Three unique formats
Hosted by Alex Assouline, episodes of the Culture Lounge podcast run between fifteen and thirty minutes and are now available in three original formats: Culture Lounge Original and two new spin-offs.
Building on its first season, “The Culture Lounge Original” features prominent figures from the world of culture in interviews that blend perspectives on topics as varied as travel, interior design, watchmaking, fashion, gastronomy, and wine.
In addition to a new lineup of prestigious guests, the latest addition lies in the Savoir-Faire episodes. These episodes offer a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Assouline’s most extraordinary works, the company’s core business. Here, the publishing house’s co-founder, Martine Assouline, alongside her husband Prosper Assouline and Alex Assouline, explores the artistic talent, research, and expertise that transform an idea into a cultural object.
Finally, another major new feature, the The Decisive Moment episodes focus on stories of the most exceptional careers, exploring the pivotal choices that shape a life’s work—whether driven by instinct, risk-taking, or transformative moments of insight.
With these three formats, Assouline highlights the growing importance of culture in the luxury sector and its clients’ desire to discover inspiring profiles, hear unique perspectives, and peek behind the scenes of the dream.
On a different note but equally cultural, this latest initiative is at the heart of LVMH’s upcoming Journées Particulières, which will offer access to unusual venues and rare moments in the company of luxury artisans. Heritage Days under the banner of the world’s leading luxury group, to be explored in mid-October in France and around the world.
