A trend that has been gaining traction on social media since the post-COVID era, resort-core is far from over. In recent months, several renowned hotels and hotel groups, such as the Ritz-Carlton, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, have relaunched limited-edition fashion collections featuring their own branding or that of their dream destinations.
Enjoy an exceptional hotel experience… without leaving home.
That’s pretty much what resort-core promises.
A sort of fashion-inspired take on the “staycation” trend of the Covid years, it involves dressing in a wardrobe branded with the colors of your hotel, your favorite hotel brand, or—even trendier—your favorite destinations.
And the offerings go well beyond the traditional trio of bathrobes, pajamas, and embroidered slippers.
On social media, this lavish lifestyle allows you to show off your status as a seasoned hedonist as well as that of a well-bred connoisseur… or even to give the impression of being one, without having to pay for a hotel stay.
