Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) launches this Monday its new exclusive NFT collection “YSL Beauty Night Masters”, which celebrates Black Opium, the House’s flagship fragrance. Created by three female artists, the collection is composed of three works, each “minted” in 100 copies. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Aimer Sans Abuser program.
The French luxury fashion house reveals the second chapter of its web3 campaign “Black Opium The Night is Ours” by launching today its NFT collection “YSL Beauty Night Masters”.
The YSL Beauty Night Masters NFT collection includes three unique NFTs created by photographers Ivona Tau, Natalie Amrossi and Laura Sills. The NFTs are named “Last Night’s Memories”, “Nightfall” and “The Rush” respectively. Each work is minted (replicated) in 100 copies.
Black Opium interpreted by three photographers
This isn’t the first time YSL Beauté’s Web3 has collaborated with women. In 2022, the cosmetics brand partnered with two musical artists, Agathe Mougin and Kittens. This time, YSL brings together three photographers with experimental artistic techniques, Ivona Tau, Laura Sills and Nathalie Amrossi. These three renowned web3 artists were invited to deliver their interpretation of the Black Opium night and to express their personal sensibility to the universe of the perfume.
Lithuanian Ivona Tau uses artificial intelligence to create experimental photographs from her own images. New York photographer Laura Sills explores urban environments with a touch of surrealism and romance, distinguishing herself with her pink and purple color palette. Finally, American Natalie Amrossi, aka Misshattan, has become known for her aerial photographs of New York taken from a helicopter in flight.
Each of the three artists was selected by Yves Saint Laurent Beauté because their artistic universe inspired by the night is in line with the universe of Black Opium. Over the past few years, they have gained notoriety within the web3 ecosystem, notably by launching their own NFT collection.
To launch this collection, YSL Beauté created a loyalty program to engage its community over the long term. The Loyalty 3.0 program provides access to exclusive benefits and previews as well as new content and experiences throughout the year. As part of this second installment of the Black Opium saga, holders of “YSL Beauty Night Masters” digital assets will be offered a premium metallic print of the NFT with digital authentication, as well as a Black Opium box set consisting of two bottles from the range including the new Black Opium Le Parfum. The House said that other surprises would follow by the end of the year.
YSL Beauty Block” holders received a notification on March 6 that gave them exclusive access to the private sale of the “YSL Beauty Night Masters” collection. On March 8, a public sale will take place on the web3.yslbeauty.com platform developed with the Arianee technical solution. The price of the NFTs has been set at 0,2 ETH each.
YSL Beautés, which has expressed its intention to “connect with its communities around the world,” announced that all profits from the sale will be donated to three associations, selected by the artists. The three artists have chosen to support “It’s on Us” in the United States, “Profem” in the Czech Republic and “ADAPT” in South Africa, partner associations of “Aimer sans Abuser”, a program to prevent and fight against domestic violence.
