Who are the nominees and winners of the CFDA Fashion Awards 2024?

On October 28, the CFDA Fashion Awards 2024 will be held at a ceremony held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Several prizes will be awarded to the best talents in American fashion.

Every year, the CDFA Fashion Awards are an opportunity to celebrate American fashion. Spearheaded by Thom Browne, President of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, the event has already announced its nominees and winnerss. Here’s a sneak preview.

The nominees

Nominees for the Award for American womenswear designer of the year are Rachel Scott for Diotima, Marc Jacobs, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, Thom Browne and Tory Burch.

Mike Amiri for Amiri, Emily Adams Bode Aujla for Bode, Thom Browne, Todd Snyder and Willy Chavarria compete in their own right for the American Menswear Designer Award, are on the list.

In terms of accessories, Ana Khouri, Stuart Vevers for Coach, Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Raul Lopez for Luar and Tory Burch arethe nominees for the Award.

And for the PShop with Google Award for Emerging Designer of the Year, Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell for Tanner Fletcher, Jackson Wiederhoeft for Wiederhoeft, Connor McKnight, Presley Oldham and Henry Zankov for Zankov are on the short list. An award correlated with Shop with Google’s support of the CFDA Fashion Awards.

Stephanie Horton, Director of Commerce Marketing at Google, said, “We are honored to once again support the industry’s brightest emerging designers through the CFDA’s American Emerging Designer of the Year Award. The winners

While Jonathan Anderson, for JW Anderson and Loewe, received last year’s International Designer Award, in 2024, it’s Daniel Roseberry’s turn for Schiaparelli to receive this high distinction.

The Prize for Positive Change is to be awarded to Michael Kors for his work in the fight against hunger through Watch Hunger Stop, his campaign in support of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) and his support of God’s Love We Deliver.

Designer Stephen Burrows will receive the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, while theMedia Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard (late renowned editor) goes to fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz and theeFounder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert (late advertising and public relations specialist) to journalist Hamish Bowles.

Finally, the “Isabel Toledo Board of Director’s Tribute” Award has been renamed in honor of designer Isabel Toledo, who passed away in 2019. She was responsible for the yellow dress worn by Michelle Obama on the day of her husband Barack Obama’s inauguration. The award recognizes independent fashion designers and individuals whose achievements reflect the values of the CFDA Board of Directors. Virgil Abloh, Norma Kamali, Tom Ford, Michelle Obama and Michael Bloomberg have all received this distinction.

In addition to Shop With Google, the CFDA Fashion Awards 2024 include Amazon Fashion as Presenting Partner, Häagen-Dazs as Premium Dessert Partner, Hourglass as Official Beauty Sponsor and WHP Global as Student Section Sponsor. The ceremony and gala, which will bring together all the big names in fashion and numerous celebrities, will be held this year on October 28 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
