It’s difficult to comment on the long-standing conflict between the famous Haute Couture House of Valentino Garavani, better known simply as Valentino, founded in 1960 in Rome, and its compatriot, the leather goods brand Mario Valentino, founded in 1952 in Naples by the eponymous designer.
This war is currently experiencing a truce in the United States, but the fire is not yet extinguished, particularly in Italy…
Across the Atlantic, Valentino Garavani and Mario Valentino have thus smoked the peace pipe. On June 14th, the two belligerents explained that they had reached an agreement in the federal court of California, ending the dispute that had opposed them since 2019.
