Diego Della Valle’s group, suspected of turning a blind eye to the unacceptable working conditions imposed by some of its subcontractors, has been placed under judicial administration in Italy. Tod’s, which pleads not guilty, is the sixth luxury brand to be placed under such supervision.
After Armani, Dior, Loro Piana, and Valentino, it is now Tod’s‘ turn to be caught up in Italian justice for a lack of vigilance towards employees in its supply chain in Italy…
The information was first revealed by the Milanese daily Il Corriere della Sera before being picked up by the Reuters agency.
Judicial administration
The investigation was made public when the Italian Supreme Court, the highest national court, was asked to rule on a question of legal jurisdiction.
