To mark the beginning of the summer season, Uber is expanding its multimodal offering. From Spain to Greece, passing through France and Italy, the American company is offering bookable boat trips through its app.
While Europe remains a top destination for vacationers, Uber unveils new offerings designed to enhance tourists’ travels. The American company is leaving dry land and venturing onto the sea with a series of nautical experiences.
“Whether sailing around Ibiza on your own private yacht or exploring Venice’s lagoon by boat, we are excited to add a touch of Uber magic to our customers’ holidays this summer,” says Anabel Diaz, Vice President of Mobility EMEA at Uber.

Heading for the Seine
Last June, the American company unveiled its concept Uber Bubbles in collaboration with Maisons Perrier-Jouët and G.H. Mumm. Users of the app can now book until August 17 a day of exploration in champagne cellars departing from Paris.
In anticipation of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Uber aims to capitalize on its activities in the capital. The ride-hailing company has announced a partnership with Click&Boat, the French online boat rental platform founded in 2013, to launch the Uber Cruise service.
From July 12 to 18 and July 28 to August 3, it will be possible to embark on a one-hour cruise on the Seine aboard an electric boat. Passengers will have the opportunity to see Paris’s most iconic landmarks, such as the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and Notre-Dame Cathedral, while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.
The boats can accommodate up to 12 people and can be booked directly through the Uber app. The good news? This service is completely free. The bad news? All slots have already been fully booked…
