Gerald Charles has become the official sponsor of the Care Wellness Kooyong Classic 2024 tennis tournament in Melbourne, Australia. The tournament will take place from 10 to 12 January 2024, two days before the Grand Slam. The Swiss watch brand is already a partner of professional ATP players such as Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz.
Gérald Charles, currently expanding in the UK and USA, becomes timekeeper of the Care Wellness Kooyong Classic. This tournament offers an unrivalled preparation framework for the world’s finest tennis players ahead of the Australian Open.
The Kooyong Classic also changed its name this year, with the signing of a five-year sponsorship contract by leading Australian health and wellness brand A2+ as sponsor of the sporting event.
In the midst of a media revival, this tournament, which has taken place every January since 1988 on the outskirts of Melbourne, has enabled Gérald Charles to strengthen his privileged links with tennis, while taking on a role of choice opposite Rolex, the official timekeeper of the Australian Open.
The Swiss watchmaker believes that its watches should be designed to follow the tennis player through all the high points of his career.
