The Frasers Group becomes the majority shareholder in The Webster

Having already acquired the Flannels and House of Frasers department store chains, Britain’s leading sports retailer is accelerating its external growth in the luxury sector, this time in the United States, by acquiring a majority stake in the multi-brand luxury group The Webster.

 

The Frasers crosses the Atlantic and continues its high-end diversification.

 

Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Britain’s leading sports retailer has just acquired a majority stake in the luxury multi-brand retailer The Webster, based in Florida (United States).

 

The news was announced in a joint press release by the two companies on October 9.

 

Laure Hériard Dubreuil remains at the helm

 

The Webster will continue to be run by Frenchwoman Laure Hériard Dubreuil, former merchandising manager at Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent, who founded it in 2018 and will retain a minority stake.
