Tesla addresses the issue of data security

Tesla CEO Elon Musk told an industry event in China on Friday that he would work with global regulators on the issue of data security.

Tesla vehicles are at the cutting edge of technology: sensors and cameras are increasingly present in Tesla vehicles. Like all technology, this raises questions about the security and privacy of users.

In China, Tesla vehicles were not allowed to park in some government locations due to security concerns about the vehicles’ cameras.

This year, the electric vehicle manufacturer has come under a lot of scrutiny from China regarding the storage and management of its customers’ data. Hence this decision by Elon Musk. In addition, he wants to be more transparent about this security issue, which is becoming a growing concern among users.

“With the rapid growth of autonomous driving technologies, the security of vehicle data is of greater concern to the public than ever before,” said E. Musk at the World Congress on New Energy Vehicles, currently being held on Hainan Island in southern China.
