Saar Debrouwere to head Pucci

The Italian brand, which is looking to build on the success of its new creative director Camille Miceli, has just appointed Saar Debrouwere as its new CEO.

According to Vogue Business, the LVMH-owned company reportedly announced via an internal email that Debrouwere will join the company’s general management next month.

In order to better reinforce the focus of Miceli’s first collection, which was unveiled in April, Debrouwere will be responsible for “accelerating Pucci’s development by combining its lifestyle and resort origins with creative modernity.

Saar Debrouwere joins Emilio Pucci from Chinese sustainable luxury womenswear brand Icicle, where she served as executive vice president of design and product. Previously, she worked at Acne Studios where she started as head of product before being promoted to director of the ready-to-wear studio.

I am delighted with Saar’s appointment as CEO of Pucci. Her international business experience in product development for various houses has ideally prepared her for this responsibility,” said Sidney Toledano, chairman and CEO of LVMH and member of the executive committee. The group became full owner of the Emilio Pucci brand in June 2021, after buying the remaining 33% stake from the founding family.

Since then, the brand has begun to focus more on resort collections and product launches, relying on its signature bold and colorful prints and styles, rather than the traditional seasonal calendar.

His energy, discipline and enthusiasm will be key to leading the entire team to success in this new venture,” says Sydney Toledano.
