Qatar Tourism has announced the launch of new luxury cruises in partnership with cruise line Emerald Cruises. These will take place on board superyachts and will start in January 2023.
Emerald Azzurra, the superyacht that will host these luxury cruises, will offer seven-night, eight-day itineraries departing from the Qatari capital, Doha. The voyages promise a number of stops in neighbouring countries such as Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, as well as Khasab and Zighy Bay in Oman.
With an impressive length of 110 metres, the Emerald Azzurra will have a capacity of 100 guests. Guests will be able to enjoy a Sky Bar, a sundeck, an observation lounge, a wellness area, an infinity pool and a marina platform with several seabobs and paddleboards.
Also, during or at the end of these cruises, three-day excursions will be offered to explore Qatari cultural sites. Visits to the Qatar National Museum, Souq Wasif and the heart of the desert will be offered to guests on these luxury cruises.
The announcement comes as construction continues on the new Grand Cruise Terminal. Located in the centre of Doha, it will be able to accommodate two megaships and will offer several attractions such as an aquarium and an art gallery.
