This year the 3rd edition of Silk in Lyon, the Silk Festival, will be held from November 18 to 21, 2021 on the theme of proximity and local know-how.

The 3rd edition of “Silk in Lyon” will take place at the Palais de la Bourse in Lyon. “Silk in Lyon” is the most important silk event in France. It attracts amateurs and professionals, young and old, first day enthusiasts as well as the simply curious. This edition will bring together about thirty exhibitors from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region as well as seasoned professionals or young students, present to share their passion.

Among the exhibitors, we will be able to admire the know-how and products of Handysoie, Sérycine, Things with Souls, or even L’Oeil de Loup.

On the program : the know-how course (didactic demonstrations on silk), exhibitions, creative workshops, conferences or artistic performances. New this year, there will be a space dedicated to “silk objects”: jewelry, decorative objects, fashion accessories … and a new area dedicated to furniture.

For this 2021 edition, Silk in Lyon has also called upon the students of SupdeMod Lyon to imagine a pattern printed on the frame during the demonstrations on the know-how trail. The silk square (70x70cm) will be available for sale throughout the festival.

We want to remind people that the silk heritage has been made in France for centuries and is an integral part of Lyon’s DNA. For the duration of the festival, we are opening up to visitors the backstage of a prestigious ecosystem, which has remained faithful to its French roots since its creation,” confesses Xavier Lépingle, president of Intersoie France.
