LVMH veteran, Michael Burke has taken the reins of the group’s American vision since July 7. A key role at a time when the region is experiencing a period of geopolitical uncertainty and rapidly evolving luxury consumption.
New appointment at LVMH. Michael Burke has just been appointed CEO of the America zone. The businessman will be responsible for “representing and promoting the best interests of the group in North and South America, in a complex and evolving geopolitical period,” explained the firm in a statement.
LVMH strengthens its American team
Based in New York since July 7, Michael Burke will orchestrate the regional expansion strategy and drive institutional interactions. He will also have to coordinate the local entities, such as LVMH Inc. and LVMH Latin America. For this, he will work with Anish Melwani, CEO of LVMH Inc. (North America) and Davide Marcovitch, President of LVMH Latin America, who will be attached to him. At the same time, the new CEO was appointed non-executive chairman of the board of directors of Tiffany & Co, the American jewelry flagship of LVMH.
