Thélios, the LVMH Group’s eyewear division, has signed an agreement to acquire the American independent brand Barton Perreira, a household name in Hollywood.

In the closed circle of star eyewear manufacturers are Oliver Peoples (EssilorLuxottica), Linda Farrow, Cutler & Gross, Larry Sands, Thierry Lasry… and Barton Perreira.

On Sunday, AFP confirmed the Wall Street Journal’s rumored takeover of Barton Perreira by Thélios.

The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed, and Thélios declined to comment. Discreet luxury with a high profile.
