LVMH Fashion Group: Sidney Toledano hands over to Michael Burke

Sidney Toledano, the driving force behind Dior’s success, hands over the reins to Michael Burke, who has headed the LVMH Fashion Group (Celine, Fendi, Givenchy, Kenzo, Loewe Marc Jacobs, Pucci and Patou) for the past 6 years. Also a long-time companion of LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, American Michael Burke has worn many hats within the group. In particular, he has made a name for himself at Louis Vuitton, as CEO since 2012.

 

Change of era at Lvmh

 

While Bernard Arnault continues, at 74, to hold firm to the reins of his luxury empire, his loyal travelling companion, Sidney Toledano, 72, is stepping back.

 

It has just been announced that he will be replaced as CEO of LVMH Fashion Group by Michael Burke, a dashing 60-year-old (aged 66). Sidney Toledano also leaves the Group’s Executive Committee, but is appointed Advisor to Bernard Arnault. The handover will take place on February 1.
