A study conducted by Bain and packaging and RFID chip manufacturer Fedrigoni among 500 professionals in the EMEA region highlights the rise of sustainable development in luxury packaging. This is a necessity that responds to regulatory constraints and customer demand, but also offers new opportunities.
In the past, luxury packaging and sustainable development did not necessarily go hand in hand… But now, the two are increasingly called upon to coexist in harmony.
According to a study recently conducted by international consulting firm Bain & Company and Italian luxury packaging and RFID chip manufacturer Fedrigoni, luxury packaging is undergoing a green revolution. It is becoming “more environmentally friendly, lighter and smarter.”
This revolution is not happening overnight. But now that it is part of customer expectations, it is also influencing the products on offer…
Major change
To reach relevant conclusions, the authors of the study surveyed more than 500 senior executives in the packaging value chain in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, including designers, suppliers, converters, and leading brands.
