Louis Vuitton to pay tribute to Virgil Abloh this Tuesday

The last collection designed by Virgil Abloh will be presented this Tuesday by Louis Vuitton, during a tribute show to the designer who died on Sunday.

The shock is still here : Virgil Abloh died this Sunday at the age of 41 of a rare form of cancer. Tributes are multiplying in the media world : from Kylian Mbappé, Roselyne Bachelot or Carla Bruni in France or the Hadid sisters, Drake or Kendall Jenner internationally, he leaves an undeniable legacy to the fashion world.

Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH, also reacted: “We are shocked by this terrible news. Virgil was not only a genius designer and visionary, but also a man of great wisdom. The entire LVMH family joins me in expressing its deep sadness. We are all thinking of those who loved him, who have lost their husbands, fathers, brothers and friends today.

Louis Vuitton will honor his memory in a fitting way, during a fashion show where the last collection designed by Virgil Abloh will be exhibited: the spring-summer 2022 collection. “In memory of Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton pays tribute to the life and legacy of a creative genius with a presentation of his Spring/Summer 2022 collection,” says LVMH. says LVMH. Entitled “Virgil was here” the show will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, November 30 in Miami, at 11:30 pm French time.
