Almost a year after closing for renovations, chef Jean Imbert’s restaurant La Palme d’Or is getting ready to reopen its doors for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
Everyone on the Croisette is gearing up for the excitement of the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. As it returns this year from May 14th to 25th, renowned chef Jean Imbert unveils his latest gastronomic project.
Appointed by the Hôtel Martinez in May 2023, the 42-year-old chef was entrusted with overseeing all the dining venues of the prestigious establishment. Among them, La Palme d’Or, the hotel’s restaurant, which holds two Michelin stars, the only one in Cannes.
Following this announcement, the venue closed its doors on May 27, 2023, “to begin embellishment works.”
The restaurant is now ready to reopen its doors. The opening date is set for May 14th, the first day of the 77th edition of the festival celebrating cinema. Through a cuisine with Mediterranean influences made from local and seasonal products, Jean Imbert will have the mission of satisfying the palates of distinguished guests, such as festival jury members and numerous celebrities attending the event.
La Palme d’Or will then be open throughout the year from Tuesday to Saturday for those who did not have the chance to be invited to climb the steps.
