Marriott International: six Michelin-starred restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau

The hotel group Marriott International announced that it has received distinctions in six of its top restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau as part of the 2024 Michelin Guide, totaling nine stars in all. This recognition underscores the group’s ongoing commitment to culinary excellence and customer satisfaction.


Marriott International has reason to be proud. Following the announcement on Friday, March 22nd, of the 2024 Michelin Guide for Hong Kong and Macau – a selection encompassing Michelin-starred establishments as well as recommended addresses in Hong Kong and Macau – the hotel group celebrated the recognition of six of its upscale restaurants, totaling nine Michelin stars.


“We are delighted to announce that six restaurants in our luxury hotels have been recognized by the 2024 Michelin Guide for Hong Kong and Macau,” said Bart Buiring, Managing Director of Luxury, Greater China at Marriott International.


This distinction adds to the previous awards received by Michelin guides in 2023 and 2024 across Greater China, bringing the total number of Michelin stars to 15. In total, 11 luxury hotel restaurants of Marriott International were awarded, including four establishments with two Michelin stars and seven establishments with one Michelin star.


“These accolades honor the exceptional dedication of our chefs and their teams to deliver unforgettable culinary experiences through innovative menus, impeccable service, and meticulous attention to detail. We look forward to continuing to offer extraordinary culinary experiences to our guests,” added Bart Buiring.


Two Michelin-Starred Restaurants


The Michelin Guide, globally known as the reference for dining, evaluates restaurants based on five rigorous criteria: quality of products, mastery of flavors and culinary techniques, chef’s personality in the kitchen, harmony of flavors, and consistency of culinary experiences. Marriott International’s award-winning restaurants in Greater China were praised for their exemplary service, consistent excellence, and culinary philosophy emphasizing constant quality.
