Hoffman Avocats, a law firm renowned for its luxury practice, sets up in Lyon

The Hoffman firm, specialized in intellectual property and digital law, will set up in Lyon in 2022, in partnership with Jakubowicz Associés. Presentation of this firm that lives with its time.

The law firm Hoffman joins Jakubowicz Associés to set up its new office in Lyon. Since 1963, Hoffman has been assisting its clients by offering pragmatic solutions for the prevention and defense of their intellectual property rights, as well as for competition and distribution matters. The firm’s expertise is based on its team of outstanding lawyers and it has a French and international clientele.

The firm is particularly well known in the field of intellectual property in various sectors: luxury, industry, but also culture, art and media. Cabinet Hoffman has thus developed a great knowledge of these sectors of activity and of its clients’ expectations. “Intellectual property is everywhere,” says Pierre Hoffman, partner lawyer in the firm.

But that’s not all, he also has a renowned expertise in the digital field, including new technologies, but also personal data. Clients can find advice on domain names, registration and monitoring, as well as in the drafting of software contracts (development contracts, SaaS, maintenance…) or website design.

The management of personal data is also one of the spearheads of the firm, allowing it to offer its clients personalized support in the development of websites, drafting of GTC-CGV, implementation of internal RGPD processes or DPO training.

Finally, it has a recognized expertise in the field of literary and artistic property, in particular by accompanying creators in the realization of their projects, while preserving the proof of creation and its valuation (Soleau envelopes, Blockchain technology, bailiff’s reports…).

With nearly 60 years of experience in these various fields, Hoffman has not been content to be a spectator of legal developments, but has instead been able to take part in them. It is thus a source of proposals for its clients, enabling them to anticipate the various changes taking place on the market.

Regarding all intangible assets (including those that do not benefit from any legal protection), Hoffman sets up the most favorable contractual framework for the interests of its clients by drafting and revising contracts such as: image rights contracts, assignment of patronymic names, confidentiality agreements, license agreements, trademark assignment contracts, copyright contracts, etc.), regardless of the status of the client: model, employee, author, artist or influencer. Hoffman’s goal is to act as a true partner for its clients, by being a vector of proposals and solutions in order to promote the success of their projects, whether they are individuals, young start-ups or large groups.
