The founders of GemGenève, the Geneva exhibition dedicated to fine jewellery and jewelry, have announced that they will be holding their third edition between 1 and 4 November next at Palexpo in view of the health situation.

Representing centuries of tradition and driven by an open spirit, GemGenève is a show organized by industry insiders Thomas Faerber and Ronny Totah who understand the needs of their exhibitors and is intended to be a centre of creativity and innovation, which will see the light of day in 2018.

The dynamic GemGeneva team was founded to promote creativity, support talent and foster a dynamic exchange of knowledge and ideas within the gemstone and jewellery community.

Initially scheduled to take place between 5 and 8 November 2020, the event had already succeeded in attracting jewellers from all over the world and thousands of visitors over the past two years.

In an economic context that is very gloomy for a sector that has been “at a standstill” since the pandemic, the organizers hope for positive economic spin-offs for the industry as a whole and for Geneva.

Admittedly, it is not a major exhibition like the one in Hong Kong or Basel, but it is still the only exhibition in the world to have been invented “by merchants for merchants“.

Indeed, it has made up for a lack between the inaccessible top-of-the-range and the “souk” versions, hence its singularity.

A successful gamble for all small actors!

But it is also an opportunity for Geneva to regain its rightful place in the world of jewellery, precious stones and watchmaking, especially since the announcement of the definitive closure of Baselworld last April.

Save the date!
