The Parisian watchmaker Fob regularly proposes new expressions of its watches and seeks over the years to cultivate its personality. In partnership with the Parisian artist and designer Gaspard Hex, Fob unveils its new Torch collection.
Located in his workshop in the capital, Gaspard Hex had the idea of using a special tool to transform some of Fob’s flagship watches: the torch.
This distinct, slightly more roots-oriented direction taken by the designer gave the name “Torch” to this new collection.
“Case, dial and timepiece, for the Torch series, the parts of each watch are worked one by one according to a special process in order to obtain shades that are sometimes coppery, sometimes bluish,” explain the designers.
The watchmaker, already known for its emblematic models such as the R413, or the R360, proposed on an experimental basis a few years ago, has now decided to create 4 versions in its permanent range of capsule collections.
The elements, pre-treated with organic components, are exposed to the flames, resulting in changes to the appearance of the metal surfaces.
These exceptional timepieces are then assembled in the Fob Paris workshops, and are available for purchase starting at 900€.
The charm of this collection boils down to the craftsmanship of the pieces giving rise to shades of colour and reflections unique to each one.
