EssilorLuxottica strengthens its presence in Asia through Top Charoen

EssilorLuxottica continues its international expansion by announcing the acquisition of a significant stake in Top Charoen, the undisputed leader in optical retail in Thailand.

 

Through this investment, EssilorLuxottica aims to get closer to end consumers in a rapidly growing region, while strengthening its control over the entire value chain, from production to distribution.

 

Top Charoen : a key player in Thailand

 

Founded in 1947, Top Charoen has established itself over the decades as the country’s leading optical chain. The company now operates more than 2,000 stores across the country, making it a central player in access to eye care.

 

The company offers a comprehensive range of services, from eye exams to the sale of lenses and frames, supported by a network of qualified professionals. It has also diversified into several retail brands and is expanding its online presence through its own platform and local marketplaces.
