The Italian group Prada continues its commitment to ecological transition by joining the Fashion Task Force, an initiative bringing together leaders in the fashion industry.
The group Prada announced on February 19 its joining of the Fashion Task Force, a coalition working to implement projects for better sustainability and traceability in the fashion industry. As a member, the group owning Prada, Miu Miu, Car Shoe, and Church’s commits to playing an active role in this process by contributing to promoting change and accelerating progress in established areas of intervention. This move follows other initiatives implemented by the group in terms of ecological transition, such as consolidating four bank loans subject to green targets since 2019.
“We are honored to be part of this coalition and to contribute by sharing our experience in traceability. Drawing on everyone’s valuable expertise and striving to achieve common sustainability goals is a productive way to address current complexity and continuously improve,” said Lorenzo Bertelli, head of social responsibility at the Prada group.
On his part, Frederico Marchetti, entrepreneur and sustainable fashion pioneer at the helm of Sustainable Markets Initiative, also expressed satisfaction with Prada Group’s joining of the Fashion Task Force. According to him, the Italian fashion group fits perfectly into this union of leading brands striving together to promote more sustainable fashion.
