After the Prix des Artisanes awarded on October 14 in association with ELLE magazine, LVMH is now highlighting the group’s craft trades during an evening entitled “Show me”.

The “Show me” event took place on Tuesday, October 19 at the Champs-Elysées theater and was designed to highlight the 280 professions of Excellence of the LVMH group. 80,000 employees of the group work in these 280 professions, representing the widest variety of professions in the world, all companies included.

The Colbert Committee has revealed that nearly 10,000 jobs in the craft industry are unfilled in France. This event is therefore an opportunity to highlight these jobs and to encourage the younger generation to train in these highly sought-after professions.

In addition, LVMH has announced that it will recruit nearly 8,000 new employees in 2022 for the Excellence professions and has unveiled its ambitions and initiatives to promote the professions of Creation, Craftsmanship and Customer Experience.

On the occasion of this exceptional event, LVMH is committed to preserving and promoting its Professions of Excellence through an ambitious program to promote these promising careers for young people. This celebration is in line with the “WE for ME” pact (“Worldwide Engagements for Métiers d’Excellence“), signed last July by the group, which demonstrated its commitment to promoting these professions.

The Professions of Excellence are essential for the LVMH Group; it is on this living heritage that the success of our Houses is built. There is an urgent need to change the way the younger generations view the professions of expertise, because they are meaningful professions in which people can make a career. More than 30,000 people are expected to be hired in these future-oriented fields by the end of 2024, including nearly 8,000 in 2022,” said Chantal Gaemperle, Director of Human Resources and Synergies for the LVMH Group.

The group’s ambitions for the coming years include an “Excellent” program dedicated to middle school students, the implementation of 400 work-study contracts within its brands, and the launch of its new Academy of Excellence professions.

Among the Trades of Excellence are 80,000 employees worldwide, including 20,000 craftsmen and nearly 73% of them women. 30,000 new employees are expected to be hired by 2024.
