Five years after the end of Marc Jacobs Beauty, the American designer is returning to the beauty industry under a Coty license starting in late May. The new line features colorful packaging and textures that are a far cry from the collection released in 2013.

A highly anticipated return. In a press release, beauty giant Coty announced the launch of the Marc Jacobs Beauty line at the end of May 2026. This is a major event in the industry, as the brand had disappeared from store shelves in 2021, leaving its fans baffled.

Originally launched in 2013 in the U.S. and a year later in France under the leadership of LVMH via its beauty incubator Kendo Brands (which includes Fenty Beauty), Marc Jacobs quickly achieved success with its 122 products, divided into four categories: “Smart Complexion” for the complexion, “Blacquer” for the eyes, “Hi-Per Colors” for eyeshadows and lipsticks, and “Boy Tested, Girl Approved,” a unisex collection featuring lip balms and concealers.

Five years later, both the design and the products are getting a makeover. Goodbye to the minimalism and black packaging of the past; make way for maximalism and pop colors. In 2026, Marc Jacobs Beauty “is launching a carefully curated makeup collection for the eyes, complexion, and lips, ranging from the long-wear Drawn This Way eyeliner and Born Star eyeshadow to Heart On lipstick, Joystick blush stick, Flashes mascara, Legally Bronze bronzer, and Money Shot highlighter gel,” the group’s press release stated.

This time, the brand’s products will be recognizable by daisy-shaped packaging for complexion, star-shaped for eyes, and heart-shaped for lips. With matte or metallic finishes, there will be something for everyone. Price-wise, expect to pay between $26 and $42 (or between €22 and €36) in the United States and between £22 and £35 (€25 to €40) in the United Kingdom.

When will the products be released in France ?

The collection will launch on May 28 on the brand’s official website, MarcJacobs.com, and then, on May 31 exclusively on the Sephora app. The following day, the products will be available on the retailer’s website in the U.S. and Canada, ahead of an in-store rollout scheduled for September in the U.S., the U.K., and Australia.

French consumers will have to wait a little longer, as Coty has not announced a launch date for France. Those in a hurry can purchase them duty-free in June at New York’s JFK International Airport and at Palma de Mallorca Airport.

A Long-Standing partnership

The return of Marc Jacobs Beauty is part of a long-standing partnership between Marc Jacobs and Coty. Indeed, the American multinational has held the designer’s Daisy and Lola fragrance licenses for over twenty years. In August 2023, the group announced its intention to strengthen its beauty alliance with Marc Jacobs by renewing its contract for a fifteen-year term.

“We have a long and fruitful partnership with Coty in the fragrance sector, and we are very pleased to continue this momentum with beauty products,” Marc Jacobs said in a statement. “I am convinced that there is no single way to dress; beauty, like fashion, has always been a form of personal expression rooted in experimentation, play, and the reinvention of the familiar,” he added.
