Celine: Ever Anderson, new face of Portraits of… by Hedi Slimane

Ever Anderson is the latest personality to be immortalized by the eye of artistic director-designer-photographer Hedi Slimane for Celine. Faithful to the Portraits Of… photographic series initiated in 2018, these new shots testify to the talent of the American actress and model, a promising representative of Generation Z following in the footsteps of her mother, a famous model turned actress.

After actress-director Suzanne Lindon (daughter of actors Vincent Lindon and Sandrine Kiberlain), it’s the turn of another “nepo baby”, barely 16, to come under Hedi Slimane’s microscope: Ever Anderson.

A veritable seed of stardom, the dreamy teenager has been immersed in the world of fashion and cinema from an early age. Not only is she the young Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) in Marvel Studios’ eponymous blockbuster: she’s also the real-life daughter of Ukrainian-Serbian actress Milla Jovovich, the iconic Leeloo in Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element (1997) and Alice in the Resident Evil saga.

The candid shots in this new Portrait Of… reveal a multifaceted artist with growing influence among Generation Z (595,000 followers on Instagram and 851,000 on Tiktok). In line with the cultural initiative launched by Hedi Slimane on his arrival at Celine, this new photographic series transcends the traditional art of portraiture by highlighting the sometimes unsuspected personalities of creative people of all kinds (musicians, artists, actors…).

Born in the spotlight

Ever Anderson is no stranger to the world of cinema and fashion. In fact, she’s a daughter of, or rather a “nepo baby”. Her mother is none other than Milla Jovovich, a former model turned actress who has walked the catwalk for Marc Jacobs, Versace and Jean-Paul Gaultier. Her father is none other than British director-producer Paul W.S. Anderson, the man behind the seven-part Resident Evil video-game horror franchise and the more or less successful steampunk transposition of The Three Musketeers (2011).

Because of her origins and her parents, the young girl is an accomplished polyglot, who has nothing to envy a K-pop celebrity: in addition toEnglish and Russian from her grandfather, she is also learning French and Japanese.

Born in Los Angeles on November 3, 2007, the young girl realized her first fashion campaign at the age of one. It was an advert for the festive season, in which she appeared wearing a sleeping bag.

She was just 9 when she joined her mother on the set of Resident Evil: Final Chapter (2016), directed by her father. That same year, she posed for Vogue Bambini under the lens of Ellen Von Unwerth.
