Organized by Lexposia in partnership with Luxus+, the Assises de la mode et du luxe will be held at The Peninsula Paris on March 14, with the aim of tackling current issues in the sector with the help of various legal and luxury professionals. For its fourth edition, the Assises will provide an opportunity to grasp the issues linked to these fields during seven hours of training, as well as to update participants’ legal knowledge. Four main topics will be addressed. Time will be set aside at the end of each session for questions and answers.
Updating legal knowledge
The first round table will provide an opportunity to update legal knowledge. Emmanuelle Hoffman, a member of the Paris and Quebec Bars, will chair this session, alongside other legal professionals. The latest European directives will be reviewed, in particular those relating to designs and models. Their impact on the luxury goods industry will be analyzed. Claire Domergue will interview Sophie Lacoste, co-chairman of Créations Fusalp, on this topic.
The place of artificial intelligence in the luxury sector
Artificial intelligence (AI) is having an impact on the fashion and luxury industries. Its place in these industries will be examined by a panel of specialists at the Assises. In particular, the role of A.I. in design and counterfeiting will be explored. There will also be a discussion of the ways in which A.I. technology can be used to trace luxury goods. Delphine Sarfati, Managing Director of UNIFAB, the French manufacturers’ union, will be on hand alongside other executives and legal professionals to address this issue.
