Arthur Lemoine has been part of the group for more than 15 years and has just taken on the supreme role of General Manager of Galeries Lafayette. The businessman’s mission is to support the new stage of development of department stores within flagships as well as online.
“It is with deep pride and great humility that I am taking over the general management of Galeries Lafayette today”: it is in these words that Arthur Lemoine mentioned his appointment, effective since 7 July. The new CEO succeeds Nicolas Houzé, who has been Chairman of the Executive Board of the Galerie Lafayette group since last year. Cousin of the latter, Arthur Lemoine is also a descendant of the founders of the company, being the grandson of the historical leader Ginette Moulin (who died last February), herself a granddaughter of the co-founder. He thus perpetuates the family history of these department stores.
In place for 15 years
As CEO, Arthur Lemoine will accompany the company in its new stage of development while continuing to grow the leadership and enhance the image of the Galleries, in France and abroad, as well as on all distribution channels.
