Leo Rongone, one of the architects of Bottega Veneta’s resilience within the beleaguered Kering group, is set to take the reins of the Italian down jacket specialist. Remo Ruffini, who successfully repositioned Moncler in the luxury segment, will retain creative direction and a strategic role in governance.
Moncler gains a new CEO while Bottega Veneta loses its CEO…
The latter, a subsidiary of the Kering group famous for its woven leather bags, has just announced the departure on March 31 of Bartolomeo Rongone, alias Leo Rongone, in order to “devote himself to new professional projects.”
Kering has announced in a press release that the name of the future head of Bottega Veneta, whose selection process is currently underway, will be announced shortly.
Two notable announcements at Moncler
For its part, Moncler has announced the new destination of Leo Rongone, who will join its ranks as the new CEO of the group (which oversees the eponymous brand and Stone Island, among others) starting April 1, 2026.
