EssilorLuxottica and Burberry have confirmed the extension of their global licensing agreement for Burberry eyewear, a collaboration that began nearly twenty years ago and will now continue until at least the end of 2035.
Twenty years of continuity
Since 2006, British luxury brand Burberry has relied on the expertise of French-Italian group EssilorLuxottica to design eyewear under its brand name. The agreement, which was due to expire on December 31, 2025, has been officially extended for a further ten years until December 31, 2035.
For Francesco Milleri, CEO of EssilorLuxottica, this renewal goes far beyond a simple commercial contract : “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Burberry, a creative adventure that has been bringing to life collections embodying Burberry’s timeless elegance and unique British heritage for two decades. As we begin a new chapter in the creation of Burberry eyewear, EssilorLuxottica is delighted to strengthen its collaboration with one of the world’s most admired luxury brands.”
