It was an evening of glamour and artistry that took place on Monday 4 December at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Fashion Awards 2023. Here’s a look back at this iconic ceremony celebrating the big names in the fashion industry.
The event brought together the crème de la crème of fashion and the arts in general. Presented by Law Roach, the celebrities walked the red carpet at London’s Royal Albert Hall on the evening of Monday 4 December. At the ceremony, presented by Maya Jama and Kojey Radical, the winners of the 2023 Fashion Awards were presented with their prizes in turn.
Fashion designer Valentino Garavani was presented with the Award of Excellence, in recognition of his contribution to the world of fashion and his creations, which will forever be remembered.
Jonathan Anderson was named designer of the year for his brand JW Anderson and Loewe, of which he is artistic director. The British Womenswear Designer Award went to Maximilian Davis for Ferragamo, while the British Menswear Designer Award went to Martine Rose for her eponymous brand.

The posthumous Special Recognition Award went to the late Joe Casely-Hayford, a British fashion designer who died in 2019.
The other Fashion Awards
The Emerging Label Award for Women’s Fashion went to the duo Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena for the label Chopova Lowena and its men’s version Bianca Saunders.
Charlotte Tilbury, entrepreneur and founder of the eponymous make-up and skincare brand, received the award in recognition of her contribution to the fashion industry. Sarah Burton, British fashion designer and artistic director of Alexander McQueen Studios for 13 years, received the Special Recognition Award. Critic Sarah Mower received the Special Recognition Award for the promotion of young fashion talent.
