The Fall-Winter 2022-2023 Fashion Week was the occasion for the great luxury houses to unveil their collections; and for the spectators to catch a glimpse of the future fashion trends. Between body jewelry, layering bracelets or jewelry with tropical tones, several jewelry trends were seen during the shows. But then, what are the six jewelry trends for next season?
Although original, chic and as singular as each other, six jewelry trends still stood out from the stream of designer collections of the Fall-Winter 2022-2023 Fashion Week.
Layering bracelets
The first trend of this FW was spotted at many houses: the accumulation of numerous and imposing bracelets. At Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello or Etro, these bracelets were highlighted to dress up the silhouettes or complete the outfits of the designers. They add this little note “bling-bling” to the side sometimes sober outfits or, on the contrary, can be an eccentric pattern that an outfit already, itself, eccentric.
Tropical and summer in the spotlight
Miu Miu, Altuzarra and Palm Angels have made palm trees or shells one of the preferred motifs of their jewelry. A summer touch that gives envy of summer and beach, although this touch has come to dress the fall-winter 2022-2023 collections. No doubt then, that the upcoming summer period will be the perfect time to wear your most beautiful jewelry with tropical allure.
The renaissance of the 2000’s jewelry
In the 2000s, singer Mariah Carey started the trend of jewelry and clothing with a butterfly pattern. And it seems that this trend has been updated 22 years later and inspired the house of Blumarine. From earrings to body jewelry, Blumarine played with this iconic 2000s pattern. Other jewelry trends from that decade have also resurfaced: toe rings and belly button piercings, seen at Courrèges, Burberry and Coperni!
“Heart-shaped” jewelry
If the heart-shaped jewelry is reminiscent of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, it is a trend that has found success at many other major luxury houses. Chloé, Moschino or Chanel have declined the heart shape in earrings, necklaces or pendants, as bright as chic.
When the jewel becomes the garment…
With clothes revealing the skin, and only made of silver chains or rhinestones, body jewelry is one of the most coveted trends by brands. The jewels are worn on the body, follow the shapes and do not require any clothing, as seen in Isabel Marant or Elie Saab‘s collections. What to shine during the days of next winter and fall…
Pearls in the spotlight
Thin or imposing, smooth or pearly, in necklace, earrings or tiaras; the jewels made of pearls were observed in all their forms during the Fashion Week of the beginning of the year. They have been rethought by Dior, Givenchy or Erdem and will be the perfect accessory to dress up your evening outfits.
No doubt then that all these trends will find their audience, although they are already starting to inspire many people, who will not wait for the fall-winter 2022-2023 to follow the jewelry trends!
