Luxury Travel Intelligence has unveiled its annual ranking of the world’s best hotel brands in 2024. These brands have been rewarded not only for their prestige, but also for their commitment, values and management quality.
While many lists have praised the best hotels of 2024, Luxury Travel Intelligence (LTI) has revealed its ranking of the best hotel brands, each with a minimum of eight establishments. This annual report, which is independent of previous studies, is based on a 130-point algorithm with a final score of 4663. The overall performance of the brand is assessed, including its ability to deliver on its passion, commitment, ethics, values, management quality, staff, investments and any renovations. The 2024 list features 15 brands, rather than 12 as in the previous year.
Mandarin Oriental’s big win
For the second year running, Mandarin Oriental is in pole position. Buoyed by its loyal clientele, the brand was praised for its new openings, such as the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair in London, England, the Mandarin Oriental Muscat in Oman and the Mandarin Qianmen in Beijing, China. The company already has 41 hotels, 12 residences and 24 Exclusive Homes in 26 countries and territories, with 28 new projects underway, including 18 residences. Mandarin Oriental has chosen fashionable destinations such as Athens, Rome, Budapest, Miami, Kuwait, Cairo and Vienna. Its ambition is to double its portfolio over the next ten years.
