On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (MAD) unveiled its collaboration with Exor-owned luxury house Shang Xia and artistic director Qiong Er Jiang, co-founder of the brand with Hermès.

Shang Xia creates products inspired by a Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) scholar’s statuette in cracked porcelain, which can be found in the MAD collections.

On this special occasion, Shang Xia pays tribute to the rich collection of Asian objects at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in an exclusive collaboration.

Three products are born from the collaboration between Shang Xia x Musée des Arts Décoratifs, celebrating the year of the tiger that has just begun: a silver lucky bracelet with the sign of the tiger, priced at 90 euros ; a duo of hand-painted porcelain cups, accompanied by a Yunnan black tea, presented in a 3D pop-up gift box, priced at 110 euros ; and finally, red envelopes traditionally used in China to donate money, with a few surprises inside, priced at 9 euros.

These exclusive products will be sold at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs boutique in Paris, and in China in all SHANG XIA boutiques and commercial partners.

Last September, Shang Xia announced the appointment of Yang Li as head of fashion design for the brand. Yang Li’s mission is to bring an innovative and contemporary vision of today’s China to the House. Thus, the windows of the MAD boutique will be dressed by SHANG XIA, in the image of its new strategy, with the collaboration of the Camondo school alumni.
