The Comité Colbert, the French association representing luxury brands, has just appointed its four new referents for the key markets of the United States, China, the United Arab Emirates and Japan.
The Comité Colbert, an association under the French law of 1901 with 113 members, including 90 luxury houses, has just appointed four ambassadors for its key markets.
On the eve of its 70th anniversary, the organization representing French luxury goods, founded by Jean-Jacques Guerlain, is seeking to intensify its internationalization strategy.
This policy began in 1988 with the opening of a permanent office in the United States, followed by Japan in 1993, Hong Kong in 1994 and South Korea in 2002.
Great witnesses to market trends
Reporting to the President of the Comité Colbert and President of Hennessy cognacs, Laurent Boillot, and to the President of its Commission de Rayonnement International and President of the Veuve Clicquot champagne estate, Jean-Marc Gallot, the ambassadors will relay the organization’s actions locally.
These four ambassadors will be called upon to animate the community of French luxury goods players and their markets, to feed global thoughts with relevant country insights, to establish links with local political representatives and to initiate analyses of major trends in these different markets.
Actions are already scheduled in the USA and China, in February and November respectively.
