At the 14th World Luxury Hotel Awards ceremony held in early November, the title of World Hotel of the Year was awarded to the Apurva Kempinski Bali, a five-star resort that reflects the essence of Indian luxury.
The World Luxury Hotel Awards is a global organization created in 2006 and has been rewarding the best establishments in the luxury hotel industry for more than ten years.
Thanks to its international reach, the World Luxury Hotel Awards enable prestigious hotels to retain a large number of luxury guests and maintain their confidence in the services offered. The objective? To stimulate the growth of these hotels over the long term and offer them some form of sustainability in an ultra-competitive market.
This ceremony is composed of more than 100 categories in which each global, continental, regional or national hotel must be able to identify itself according to the services and amenities it offers.
All customers, travelers and market players take part in the vote to select the best hotel of the year. On average, more than 300,000 voters come together each year over a four-week period to select the winner.
The Apurva Kempinski Bali was chosen by its voters because of its various outstanding achievements, starting with its location. Located on the top of the Nusa Dua cliff, this luxury hotel offers its guests a completely unobstructed view of the Indian Ocean, a true tropical garden, but above all more than 470 rooms, suites and villas each with 60% private pools. The Apurva Kempinski Bali offers its guests a change of scenery thanks to a local culinary journey, indigenous spas cares, spacious meeting rooms and magnificent chapels.
Other luxury establishments have also been awarded at the World Luxury Hotel Awards. Two Kenyan hotels in particular stand out in the Luxury Villa Resort and Luxury Banquet / Event Hotel categories of the World Luxury Hotel Awards: the Maiyan Villas in Laikipia County and the Radisson Blu Hotel-Upper Hill, winners in their categories in the announced results.
Also included are various regionally and nationally recognized Kenyan establishments such as the Sankara Nairobi Autograph Collection-Continent luxury art hotel, the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort-Continent, the Luxury Safari Retreat Spirit of the Masai Mara-Continent and the Luxury Wildlife Resort- Mara Bushtops Camp & Spa Village-Continent.
