The department store opened in Dallas in 1986 by Texan billionaire Caroline Hunt, then bought by its manager Crawford Brock, has just been acquired by the American department store group Mitchells. This change of hands comes in the same month as the closure of its competitor, Neiman Marcus in downtown Dallas.

The luxury retailer Stanley Korshak, based in Dallas, is changing hands again and joining the American luxury store group Mitchells, based in Connecticut.
Opened in 1986
The department store opened in 1986 in Dallas under the leadership of Texan Caroline Hunt. Shortly before, this wealthy oil heiress had purchased the rights to the Stanley Korshak brand, historically based in Chicago and facing serious difficulties. The Chicago unit had closed in 1990.
