Previously Chairman, Takeshi Niinami has been appointed CEO of the Japanese group, one of the world’s leading beverage companies.
Nobuhiro Torii, the company’s current Executive Vice President, will take over as Chairman.
Nobuhiro Torii will manage the entire Suntory Group worldwide, working closely with Takeshi Niinami. The transition will be effective from March 25, 2025.

According to Time, Suntory Holdings has risen over the past decade to become the world’s third-largest producer of premium spirits. This has been the case since Takeshi Niinami joined the group as Chairman. After a 20-year career with Mitsubishi Corporation and Lawson, Takeshi Niinami joined Suntory in 2014, “transforming it into a major convenience store operator in Asia”, explains The Drinks Business.
