Markets are rebounding this Thursday, particularly in Paris, where the CAC 40 reached a new all-time high thanks to a flood of well-received corporate earnings reports.
The lights are green this morning in Europe : the CAC 40 is up 1.26%, London’s FTSE 100 is up 0.38% and in Frankfurt, the Dax is up 1.12%. The EuroStoxx 50 index is up 0.97% and the FTSEurofirst 300 is up 0.63%.
New high for the CAC 40
Despite this general upturn across the Old Continent, the Paris Stock Exchange is the big winner, with the CAC 40 index reaching around 8,437 points during trading, an all-time high, thanks to a series of financial reports deemed solid by investors.
The rise was driven in particular by the favorable reception given to EssilorLuxottica, Michelin, and Legrand, whose performances helped to support the Paris stock market as a whole.
