Amandine Ohayon is the new CEO of the House of Stella McCartney. She replaces Gabriele Maggio at the helm of this emblem of eco-friendly luxury.
Amandine Ohayon, the new CEO of Stella McCartney, will take up her post on December 1.
To replace Gabriele Maggio, who decided to leave the company to “seize other opportunities” after four years of involvement, the House of Stella McCartney chose the former CEO of Pronovias, the Barcelona-based brand specializing in wedding dresses. Prior to her departure, Amandine Ohayon managed the sale of the company to Bain Capital earlier this year and secured a ten-year license with Vera Wang.
A graduate of the ESSEC business school and holder of an MBA in luxury goods, Amandine Ohayon has spent 25 years of her career in the luxury goods industry, most of it in the beauty world with brands such as YSL Beauty and Armani Beauty.
Her most important role in the beauty sector was as General Manager of the L’Oréal Luxe division for the UK and Ireland. During her 18 years with the world’s leading beauty company, she held a number of positions.
In her new role, the CEO will be based in London and will report to the Stella McCartney Board of Directors, with the mission of transforming the House’s business, which has been hard hit by the pandemic.
