Volkswagen, the German manufacturer, presented its brand new 100% electric sedan at the Shanghai Auto Show, which took place from April 18 to 27. Other brands such as BMW or Nissan unveiled their new vehicles. And we can say that this year, the trend is green!
The Shanghai Auto Show is the largest car show in the world. Every brand on the planet comes to unveil their innovations and latest creations, starting with Volkswagen.
“We are boosting our electric campaign,” said Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schafer, while demonstrating an electric minibus.
Teased and awaited for several months, the new Volkswagen electric luxury sedan was finally presented to the public and professionals. With a battery range of 700 km and a new 286 hp engine, the successor to the Passat is called the ID 7. Like a robot’s name, it is one of 28 models presented at the show by the brand, half of which run on green energy.
Its original design does not go unnoticed. Equipped with dozens of colored pixels, it is reminiscent of a QR code graphic or the infinite world of the Internet.
Electricity, more fashionable than ever
Faster charging, satellite navigation and entertainment, the possibility of autonomous driving technology, this is what brands like Volkswagen, BMW, BYD or NIO are offering at this large-scale automotive event.
