The brand has opened a parapharmacy space in its Parisian store on Boulevard Saint-Germain, and offers some references on its website. A revelation made by the specialized magazine LSA on Wednesday, September 21.
Sephora already had a foot in the parapharmacy in Spain, with a corner dedicated to this segment in its Barcelona store in 2015. Seven years later, it is in France, in its flagship store located on the Boulevard Saint-Germain in the 6th arrondissement in Paris, that the brand offers this type of hygiene and care products that do not require a medical prescription.
The cosmetics and perfume chain already had 860 brands and 78,000 accessible or luxury products. But since last spring, it also offers a range of body, face and hair care products normally sold in parapharmacy.
In the Parisian store on Boulevard Saint-Germain, a parapharmacy corner of a few square meters, separated from the rest of the store by a glass roof, has been unveiled. According to LSA, two pharmacists have been recruited to manage this space. For the time being, the offer would be quite limited, with nevertheless the presence of great classics such as products from Pierre Fabre or the Nuxe laboratory.
In addition to this first physical outlet in France, the company also offers its products online. Indeed, on its website, there is a Parapharmacy tab, which offers more than 80 products under four brands: A-Derma, Klorane, Rene Furterer and Avene. Once the preserve of pharmacies, parapharmacy is now present in some supermarkets and at some cosmetics or skincare giants. Nocibé, one of Sephora’s competitors, had already taken the step in 2018.
